Peach Preservation

What to do with an entire "lug" of delicious peaches?!
Why can them of course!

I did the peeling and pit removal. Tall D did the boiling, syrup making, and actual canning. The chickens were glad for the peach skins. 
Six finished quarts of peaches in syrup. 

A tray of sliced peaches were frozen and there's still a pile of peaches in the fridge that will either freeze or be layered into the dehydrator! DELISH!

  1. Yum! I just ordered a bunch of peaches from the co-op, which I will get next week. Peach salsa and a BBQ sauce are on the menu for canning next week :-) These look delicious!
